In the summer of 2019, thirteen high school and college Civitas interns produced a remarkable number of independent projects, all related to contemporary global and domestic issues. All interns contributed either written reports, podcasts or video mini-docs on issues related to proposals for consolidation and/or collaboration among different governmental entities in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Others worked on projects ranging from a remarkably clear explanation of BREXIT to environmental issues to issues of justice to fiction pieces to gun-related issues to cruelty to animals. Students invested a great deal of time and energy into studying Bryan Stephenson’s work on racial injustices in America. Most read his book, Just Mercy.
We encourage you to peruse their work, and please feel free to add comments or ask questions of the interns. Questions can be addressed to [email protected].
