Here are photos from the third day of Urban Go-Team: Inside Politics. This day was spent entirely in downtown St. Louis. Students started at the St. Louis City Board of Elections for a run down of how elections work. Betty Williams, the Deputy Director there, was also great at answering student questions about voting rights. After a quick lunch at Ballpark Village the day continued at City Hall. There was a panel of speakers including Alderman Scott Ogilvie, Alderperson Megan Green, and Leonard Johnson the Deputy Director for the city’s Treasurer office. These speakers focused on ward issues and gave a real glimpse inside city politics. A comprehensive student write up can be found by clicking here.
