Resolution GA-01 December 16

Re.:                             Ending World Hunger
Submitted to:            General Assembly
Submitted by:            USA, Brazil, Estonia, Sweden
Date:                           December 16, 2025

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #2 is Zero Hunger, and

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #12 is Responsible Consumption and Growth, and

Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care, and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and

Shocked in the year 2025 there are more than 800 million people, including children affected by hunger worldwide, and

Alarmed that every 10 Seconds, a Child Dies from Hunger – Malnutrition is the cause of nearly 45% of deaths among children under five, and

Realizing that in food deserts many people do not have access to nutritious and affordable food especially people in low income communities, and

Concerned that supermarkets throw away tons of edible food – Grocery stores discard perfectly good food due to strict appearance standards or expiration dates that don’t indicate actual spoilage, and

Knowing that hunger stunts children’s growth and learning – Malnourished children struggle in school and have long-term cognitive and health issues,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

  1. Action plan– The United Nations will begin a program called Eat and Grow Green to End Hunger (EGEH) in Democratic Republic of the Congo and Yemen.  We selected these countries because they have the highest rates of hunger in the world. Eat And Grow Green to End Hunger will build farms, partner with local grocery stores to avoid wasting food, and create an education program to teach people how to grow their own food. After 2 years the program will expand to other countries with high rates of hunger.

  2. Funding –   We specifically ask for help from Monaco, the United States, Brazil, Japan, South Africa, and Australia. We selected these countries because they are members of the United Nations and have a high GDP. We chose one country from each continent with a high GDP.
  3. Budget: Total cost $40 million ($10 million for each country).
    – $4 Million for farms and community gardens (2 million dollars for farms and 2 million for gardens.).  The cost to build a community garden is $7,500 = 266 gardens/ The cost to build a farm is $200,000 = 10 farms.
    – $3 Million for trucks and technology to move food.
    – $2 Million for training and education.: We are going to teach people how to grow their own food
    – $1 Million for organizing and running the program.: we can higher citizens from each country   organize and run the program.
  4. Assessment: We will assess the program by keeping track of the number of people it helps to feed. We will assess it every six months to see if hunger is reduced. The program will be a success if it reduces hunger by 25% each year.
  5. Expansion: At the end of 2 years, if hunger is reduced by at least 30% we can expand the program to other countries. If hunger is not reduced by at least 30% we will make changes and extend it another year before expanding. If we meet our goal we will expand to other countries. If we do not meet our goal we will stop funding or end the program.

Resolution GA-02 December 16

Re.:                             Worsening Dementia Issues in Australia
Submitted to:            General Assembly
Submitted by:            Australia
Date:                           December 16, 2025

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #3 is Good Health and Well-Being, and

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #4 is Quality Education, and

Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care, and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and

Alarmed by the fact that over 1.6% of people in Australia have dementia, and

Aware of the fact that Australia doesn’t have enough money to fix this themselves, and

Knowing that it costs $81,000 USD a year to treat 1 person with dementia, and

Concerned that if Australia does not address its dementia problem, the number of people with dementia will significantly increase, putting immense pressure on healthcare and social services, leading to more deaths, and creating a massive burden on families and carers,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

  1.  Action Plan:

Step 1: Get $924 million dollars in funding by the rich countries in the UN. (Monaco, Liechtenstein, Singapore, Luxembourg, Ireland, Qatar, and Norway) each paying $132 million dollars by raising dues. The reason I have chosen these countries is because they were said to be the richest countries based on what it says in the packet, even though they do not specifically have anything to do with dementia.

Step 2: Hire the neurologists to study the cause of dementia.

Step 3: Hire neurologists to “fix the dementia problem” (lower the amount of dementia cases in Australia by at least 50%)

Step 4: Let the process run for some time to get results.
Name of program: The Australian Cognitive Health Initiative (ACHI)

  1. Funding: We are going to pay for this program by holding many fund raisers, and using money donated by the wealthier countries, (stated earlier) Plus money from the actual country Australia.

-The money we get will be used to hire/train and transport the doctors to Australia.
            -(Total Price tag) $924,000,000
-(Where does the money go) $300,000,000 for transportation, $624,000,000 to pay 2080 doctors.

3. Timeline:

  • Get money, 7 years.
  • Hire and transport, 5 years.
  • Wait for results, 12 years. This is the amount of time after the other steps have completed, we will wait for the dementia problem to decrease.

4. Evaluation

  • We know our plan is working if at least 50% of dementia cases in Australia will be cured in the amount of time we have given.
  • Next we will expand to Finland, they also have trouble with dementia.

Resolution GA-03 December 16

Re.:                             Pets and Animals Welfare Shelters (PAWS of Ukraine)
Submitted to:            General Assembly
Submitted by:            Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Austria
Date:                           December 16, 2025

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #3 is Good Health and Well-Being, and

Whereas Article 17, section 2 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.”, and

Alarmed that Ukraine had an estimated 200,000 stray dogs and even more stray cats before the war even started, and

Frightened that in early 2023 the number of emergency rabies prophylaxis treatments administered to victims has surged more than 40% (Vets without Borders), and

Concerned that some animal shelters had to release their animals when the area they were in was under attack, increasing the stray animal population, and

Worried about the effects of stray animals on humans such as increase in certain diseases, animal waste polluting clean water supply, and increase in pests like fleas and ticks, etc, and

Surprised to find that Ukraine had one of the lowest vaccination rates for both humans and animals even before the war started. (CDC), and

Upset that over a million dogs had been left homeless as of 2023. (WHO and Vets without Borders),

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

  1. Action Plan: Pets and Animals Welfare Shelters (PAWS) will build three animal shelters in Ukraine to house dogs and cats safely away from the ongoing war that Russia initiated within Ukraine. PAWS will build animal shelters near Lviv, Ternopil, and Rivne, which are in the western side of Ukraine far from the current conflict and near where people are fleeing to Poland, in case they need to surrender their animals in order to cross the border to safety. They will be built in the countryside surrounding these cities so that there will be plenty of space for the animals and away from the cities that may be targeted by war. The shelters will be staffed by local people and by people who are also displaced by the war. They will start as volunteers while we are getting the program going and then later be hired and paid. The shelters will have outdoor fenced-in areas for group play and each animal will have private indoor spaces for sleep and rest. The animals will be provided with clean water, food, toys, medical examinations, and vaccinations for rabies, salmonellosis, leptospirosis, and heartworm. The animals will also receive microchips, required for entry into Poland if their families are fleeing.  Pets and Animals Welfare Shelters (PAWS) will partner with Zoopatrul, who is already working to remove animals from war zones, and will transport them to PAWS’ shelters. Zoopatrul will work in conjunction with Vets without Borders to provide vaccinations. If the area becomes a target of the war, the animals will be relocated using the same transportation that the shelter uses to bring strays to the facility. PAWS would create a website with a section where pictures of suspected lost or abandoned pets would be posted, along with a way for people to get in touch and reunite with their pet.
  2. Funding: PAWS is asking for $1,925,000 USD and requesting the 20 richest countries pay $96,250 each. This money will be used for equipment, licensing, fencing, medical supplies, vet care, and building costs.  The cities will provide the land to build the shelters on a 99 year lease. Animals will be transported by train to the shelters at a cost of $20,000 U.S. dollars. Kormotech, a Ukrainian pet food company headquartered in Lviv, and The European Pet Food Federation (FEDIAF) will be donating food and supplies. Vaccinations, exams, and microchips will be provided by Vets without Borders.
  3. Timeline: We aim to have the 3 shelters established and fully operational in 1 to 2 years, assuming that the war environment stays stable.
  4. Evaluation: PAWS will check on the shelters and the surrounding area a year after they are fully established. If the rate of rabies in humans has decreased by half the increased amount (only a 20% rise since pre-war rates versus the current 40% rise), and there are less reported stray animals by animal control facilities, we will know that our project is successful and will proceed with our expansion plan.
  5. Expansion: If these shelters are successful, PAWS will first expand to build more shelters along the western border and expand to have training opportunities at the shelters for strays to become service and rescue dogs. We will expand to build small buildings along the border as close as possible to ports of entry with veterinary supplies and a vet on duty to vaccinate and microchip pets so they can cross with their families.  Next, PAWS would consider implementing this program to other countries with stray animal issues like Romania, Moldova, Kosovo, Pakistan, Morocco, India, or any other countries that are interested.

Resolution GA-04 December 16

Re.:                             Stopping the Alarming Rate of Gang Violence
Submitted to:            General Assembly
Submitted by:            Haiti
Date:                           December 16, 2025

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #4 is Quality Education, and

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #15 is Life on Land, and

Whereas Article 20 section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association.”, and

Whereas Article 23 section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.”, and

Noting that there is an alarming rate of people getting affected by gang violence. Over 1.4 million people have been affected by gang violence since this October, and

Aware that the people of Haiti are concerned for their safety in Haiti due to the fact that the     gang violence is getting more and more severe. Over 85-90% of Port-au-Prince has been infected by gangs. Over 12,000 people in Haiti are in armed gangs and some are even getting abused by their own gang members, and

Knowing that because of the escalating gang violence, innocent people are struggling due to the limitation of water, food, etc, and

Concerned by the people that are getting abused or hurt by the gangs should be more concerned about the kids getting the same treatment. About 289 kids have been killed over the last year because of the gang violence and 680,000 kids are getting displaced from their homes! Also, the kids in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, mental health is getting worse each day because they live in fear of getting hurt or killed,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

  1. Action Plan:

Step1: Build 80 health centers (in the process giving people construction jobs) including therapy, food, water, $1 dollar rooms. Also, with rehabilitation centers!

Step 2: Transfer more police and military soldiers and hire them to patrol major cities!

Step 3: Regulate guns by adding more metal detectors and also do searches in stores, schools, etc.

Also, we can hire the Panel of Experts on Haiti! The Panel of Experts do similar things to what is needed for our action plan! For example, they investigate illicit arm flows, financing, and violations.

Step 4: Stop kids from joining gangs by having presentations, doing marches, and having a health line if someone is getting pressured to join a gang.

  • Funding:
  • $10 million for the health centers
  • $5 million for increased security and gun detection
  • $1 million for presentations for education about gangs
  • $400,000 to hire and transfer construction workers

The money will go to funding companies in Haiti to help provide the supplies to build the health centers and the transferred construction workers.

3. Timeline

  • In the following, in order to make at LEAST 25 health centers and make sure their secure. It will take at LEAST 8 years to build them by saving 300 million dollars in funding and building the health centers.
  • We could ask each of the countries with the highest dues by asking for 5% of the funding, that would raise about $1,092,290,969! That would be more than enough to be 25 health centers and transfer construction workers and get the supplies needed for the health centers.

4. Evaluation

  • I know my plan is working by seeing an increase in sustainability in certain areas around Port au Prince (since that’s where the gang violence is worst at) and a decrease in gang violence, sex trafficking, etc. around Haiti by at LEAST 20%.
  • I could also expand my plan to Jamaica since they consistently rank among the most violent places due to persistent gang problems.
