Tuesday, September 23, five students traveled to Nixa High School just south of Springfield, MO. Because travel time was four hours each way, Civitas and Nixa students were only able to spend two hours together. But it was an incredibly productive time. Nixa has a wonderful newsroom, and evidence of the students’ work is everywhere. Nixa Journalism teacher Beth Eggleston gladly shared copies of their publication, the Wingspan, with Civ students. Civ students talked about their paper, the Examiner, and by the end of the week, forty copies arrived in Nixa. Here are photos from the trip.
