March 28, 2015 Civitas is hosting a secondary Model United Nations session, with a twist. Unlike the November session, this conference will deal with a few issues in a more in-depth way. We are calling it Challenge Model United Nations.
Students will still be representing the same countries they had in November, but they will not be submitting resolutions. All of the topics on the agenda are submitted by Civitas.
This event will give student delegates a chance to work in small groups and focus on creative solutions to clearly defined global problems.
The Model UN Conference is free to all high school teachers and students. Light breakfast snacks and complimentary lunch will be provided.
Space is limited to 60 students & delegates must pre-register!
The Challenge Model UN will be at the Richmond Heights Community Center (The Heights, Map) from 8:45-2:30 Sat., March 28.
There will be a prep session with research and more information on February 7th. Click here to see details for the prep session! (or click here for the research sheet!)
