The Examiner Produce-a-thon will follow the morning program on Challenges for those with Disabilities. Come right in if you are already on the staff of the Examiner. If you’ are new to the Examiner, be sure to answer the last question on the sign-up form.

Additional bonus:
At the beginning of the program,, we will have a short welcome from Cathy Kuhlmeier. In 1983, she was editor of the Hazelwood East student newspaper, The Spectrum. Cathy and others wanted to write about issues such as teen pregnancy. The school took actions to shut down the paper. The case went all the way to the United States Supreme Court which ruled that the rights of the school board superseded those of the student journalists. We will have Cathy back later in the year to further discuss student journalism, then and now.
