Addressing North Korea and the World

The current situation between North Korea and the rest of the world seems so complicated that many people just want to give up. To others, it’s simple: “bomb them back to the stone age.”

Reality is somewhere in between. But figuring out what options the United States, South Korea, Japan, China and the rest of the world has requires research and brainstorming. Addressing this issue will be the focus of the first Civitas Think Tank Project.

We’ll gather on Saturday morning, September 23, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Civitas office to study some digestible research on the relevant issues. We’ll work in small groups to present information in a way to others that makes sense. Then we’ll divide into other groups to consider what options for action (or inaction) might exist, and what impact they would have on individual nations and the world as a whole.

We’ll talk about nukes, sanctions, bluffing, psychological profiles of leaders and a host of other factors. Space is limited, sign up now!
