Resolution GA-01 May 5
Re.: China’s mistreatment of the Uyghur population
Submitted to: General Assembly
Submitted by: Japan
Date: May 5, 2021
Whereas Article 2 section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without any distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.”, and
Whereas Article 5 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”, and
Whereas Article 9 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention, or exile.”, and
Concerned that the Uyghur are being silenced by force, and being sent to “re-education” camps, and
Saddened that a population is being unfairly discriminated against and badly treated. Also the term “re-education” camps is another way of saying prison camps in this case, and
Noting that people are being arrested for arbitrary response. With such vague reasons as to why people are being arrested, anyone could be thrown into the camps because they could commit a crime,
Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
- Allow international observers to visit the re-education camps. The UN observer can visit unscheduled, and they can look throughout the whole facility.
- After 6 months if there are still human rights being violated. Then we will put a sanction on all Chinese exports to all UN countries. There will be another 6 month wait and then the process will repeat.
- The program will need $100,500. To cover travel of investigator(s), hotels and living expenses for said investigator(s). Acquire funds from UN/Japan.
- The program will last 12 months. Every 6 months there will be 2 surprise visits. After the 2 surprise visits they will make a report. If the re-education camps aren’t violating human rights after 4 surprise visits. Then there will only be 2 surprise visits every year.
- The news will be surveyed for acts against minorities in China, and if the amount of cases exceeded 10 China will be fined and scolded for not following the plan.
Resolution GA-02 May 5
Re.: Protecting Human Rights in Syria
Submitted to: General Assembly
Submitted by: Australia
Date: May 5, 2021
Whereas Article 5 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”, and
Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care, and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and
Whereas Article 25, section 2 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection.”, and
Saddened that due to the ongoing Civil War more than 9.3 million Syrians have become food insecure and over 80 percent of Syrians live below the poverty line, and
Alarmed by the high rating of sexual violence, torture, and kidnapping in Syria, and kids (of 18 years of age) are being forced to join a war that is destroying the country,
Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
- Invite the leaders of both sides of the war to a peace meeting so that they can negotiate.
- Deliver food and water to the citizens of the country – ship over food and water. (According to the UN, the population of Syria was 17,500,658 in 2020. The population of the country multiplied by the cost of 2 pounds of frozen food equals $75,032,900. The population of the country divided by 2, divided by 5, and then multiplied by $45 equals $78,752,961).
- Deliver medical supplies and doctors to people who are hurt (this will cost $1,003,000).
- Start building temporary homes for about a quarter of the citizens – hire people and order materials (This will cost $70,002,632 including the materials and the labor).
- Install a new water system – order materials and ship over ($3,000 includes labor and materials).
- Fix the broken government system.
- Build schools so that children can be educated – hire people and order materials (Ship) ($8,500 (cost of a school) + $12,082 (cost of school staff) equals $20,582 (includes labor and materials).
- Australia can help fund the first half of the action plan (school and water system). The rest of the money will come from the second part of the action plan. The second part of the action plan is an app that allows people to donate money to help the cause. A.P.P. or The Annual Payment Plan will allow people to buy health care products and clothes in exchange for money. Finally, the app will alert people that jobs are needed in Syria like doctors and teachers.
- In total this will cost about $20,582 (school) + $3,000 (new water system) + $70,002,632 (temporary homes) + $75,032,900 (frozen food) + $78,752,961 (water) +$1,003,000 (doctors and medical supply) equals $224,815,075.
- This app will run for one year to see if it works. Australia will also fund this project for one year. This app and funding from Australia will continue until Syria has a stable economy and government.

Re.: Air & Water Pollution
Submitted to: General Assembly
Submitted by: Morocco
Date: May 5, 2021
Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care, and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and
Concerned that Morocco is affected by climate change and see the effects through food insecurity and air pollution, and
Recognizing that Morocco should be worried about it because climate change promotes desertification and Moroccan people won’t be able to grow crops or farm animals. That’s two sources of income down. No income means no money which means no food or education. $1.2 billion per year due to its effects on public health and the environment, and
Saddened that 3 million deaths a year are linked to exposure to outdoor air pollution. 92 percent of the world’s population lives in areas with unhealthy levels of pollution, and
Noting that Pollution of Morocco’s water and land resources is due to the dumping of industrial wastes into the ocean, the country’s inland water sources, and the soil. Water supplies have also been contaminated by the dumping of raw sewage and coastal waters have been polluted by oil,
Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
- Money to go to cleaner energy such as solar panels and electric cars.
- Put more money into funding research for cleaner resources.
- Since most of the Pollution is coming from waste in the water, we can start some type of program to clean the water that is causing the pollution.
- To pay for this we will have the dues raised and ask money work go to hiring people to educate on the environment along with greener energy to around $1,000,000.
- We will start by introducing environmental education to schools so people will be more educated on how to cut down on waste. Then we will start replacing energy sources with the greener ones.
- When evaluation time. Ones they can check by looking in the water and checking air pollution levels
Resolution GA-04 May 5
Re.: Clean Water in India and Cambodia
Submitted to: General Assembly
Submitted by: Iran, India, Cambodia and The Bahamas
Date: May 5, 2021
Whereas Article 3 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person.”, and
Alarmed that lack of access to clean water impacts 3 out of 4 Indians accounting for 20% of the country’s disease burden, including chemical contamination in 1.96 million homes, and
Surprised that more than 70% of the water is not safe to drink in India, and
Knowing Cambodia’s water supply comes from rainfall. Cambodia collects this rainfall in structures of cement. This is unsafe because parasites can be created and mosquitoes can reproduce, and
Deeply concerned that 3.4 million Cambodians are in need of access to clean water,
Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
- The Safe Water for All (SWA) proposes a three pronged approach to clean water access.
- First, there will include installation of wells in populated areas lacking clean water. This will cost around 1million dollars. Each well costs around $10,000 to build.
- Clean existing contaminated lakes using a bubbling nano-system which consists of adding a microbubble solution to contaminated waters and using biofilters. “The micro-nano bubble has an electromagnetic field of positive and negative ions that works like a magnet. On the way to the surface of the water, it attracts viruses and bacteria, kind of like catching them in a spider’s web,” explains the scientist Marino. A process which has been used in South America to clean large lakes and wetlands.
- The third piece is to build a piping systems to spread the delivery of the clean water.
- The total cost for this project is $10 million to be implemented over 3 years. Half of the money will be spent on wells and piping systems and half on the Microbubble cleaning of existing lakes.
- Yearly assessments will be done to examine the effectiveness of the solutions. If successful, SWA will expand the program to other countries.
- Funding will be from assessing the top 50 wealthiest nations $200,000 each.
