Even if you’re not 18 yet, you’ve heard a lot about the many ways elections can go wrong: voter suppression, gerrymandering, voting-machine glitches, inconvenient voting hours and locations, to name a few. Most of the time, things go right—but there’s a lot of room for improvement in how America votes. What do YOU think is working?
At this unique, all-day workshop, you will work with other high school students to develop creative, new ideas to make America’s elections fairer, and more in line with the principles and ideals of our democracy.
- The conference will be ALL DAY on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm.
- It will be held at the Creve Coeur Drury Inn.
- Participation is open and free to all high school students, but we will have a cap on attendance.
- Registration is mandatory.
- A pizza lunch will be served that day.
