The internship will be from June 16 – June 27. The work day will be from 9 am until 3 pm.
- Please arrive on time at Crossroads School every morning. If you are running late, please call/text Bobbi at 314-443-9785.
- Dress code is school appropriate attire. We will be meeting with various elected officials and professionals so don’t wear anything that would embarrass you or us.
- Be respectful of the opinions of guest speakers and other interns. No two viewpoints are going to be the same and that’s ok.
- Some days we will provide lunch, some days you will need to bring lunch. Check the schedule in this folder for details. Right now, we are planning on students bringing lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Please do not be on your phone/device during discussions and presentations.
- This is a paid internship. You are expected to participate in conversations by asking questions and engaging with guest speakers. You will also be contributing at least two written pieces for the Civitas Examiner as well as editing at least two articles written by other interns.
- You must complete your I-9/W-4 and show a valid ID to Bobbi to get paid. There will be time to start on this on Monday morning, June 16.
- Please remember to bring a laptop or tablet each day.
- There will also be a Google Classroom where all schedules, resources, and handouts are saved. Students will be given access on Monday, June 16.
- Parking and drop-off info can be found by clicking here.
