Saturday, February 17th, Civitas is hosting an Issues Roundtable on refugees and immigration. We will be joined by a guest speaker from MIRA (Missouri Immigrant and Refugee Advocates). The executive director of MIRA, Marie-Aimee Abizera will lead a discussion with students on how immigrants and refugees come to America, DACA, what policies the MO legislature might be discussing this year in regards MIRA’s work, and other engaging topics. Immigration has been a huge topic in the news this year, so you won’t want to miss this!
