Join Civitas on April 7th for a special guest speaker. Lonita Benson is a former Civitas student who cares. She’s graduating from Mizzou with a degree in International Studies with an emphasis on Peace Studies. Throughout college she has made an effort to keep involved with issues she cares about including:
- Urban farming and helping low income residents grow their own food
- Refugee resettlement and helping people from war-torn nations
- Providing services to homeless veterans
She will be at the Civitas office on April 7th from 9-11 am answering questions from students about college life but also how to connect with issues and be an active citizen.
