The kickoff event for the 2018-2019 school year is special guest speaker Jeffrey Mittman, the Executive Director of the Missouri chapter of the ACLU. He’s going to help students understand their rights at school, during protests and walkouts, with regards to privacy, and so much more. Jeffrey will also talk about the various issues the ACLU is working on including immigration and child reunification at the border, protecting free speech for everyone, transforming the criminal justice system, and LGBTQ+ rights.
