High School Discussion Session This Saturday

Our final event for calendar year 2006 is a discussion group this Saturday, December 16, at Crossroads (map) from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM.  Those students who attended session prior to the November elections may recall that we had lively dialogue on the issue of stem cell research.  We are most fortunate to have with us this Saturday Dr. Michael DeBaun (father of Morgan DeBaun, Rosati-Kain class of 2008).  Dr. DeBaun is Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Biostatistics and Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine and he directs the Sickle Cell Medical Treatment and Education Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital.  He is one of the few individuals in our area who is capable of providing us with an even-handed presentation on the issue.   This is an important discussion because it is an opportunity for us to have an expert in a field come answer many of the questions that we raised in a previous discussion.  We hope that as many of you as possible can make the session.

In the second hour, we will have a "free-for-all" discussion on topics of your choice.
