Report from Group Discussion on Saturday, January 29

Last Saturday was the first of our two prep sessions for the upcoming Population Conference. Despite the snow, there was a great student turn out. So great in fact, that the students got to experience first hand some of the effects of overpopulation. That aside the prep session was a huge success. First off, everyone got to watch an informative Power Point presentation that set the stage for the Population Conference. After that there was a research simulation about Sri Lanka that walked students through the process of fact finding for their own countries.

Don't forget that the Population Conference (February 25 - 26) is quickly approaching, so be sure to turn in all of the necessary paperwork (Parental permission forms, money, and research papers.) before the deadline of February 22!

The next Prep Session will be:
Saturday, Feb. 12, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Crossroads School.

We will have several videos and simulations. We will also give you all necessary info concerning the hotel, etc.
