Our next meeting will be on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at Crossroads School from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM or Noon. We'll have more information for you in next week's newsletter.

FRIVOLOUS M.U.N. LAST SATURDAY
Civitas Associates held its annual Frivolous M.U.N Session last Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at Crossroads School. It was really different from previous year's because it turned into a serious discussion on race, pop culture, and school politics. Thanks to all of the students who showed up and had a good time, even if it was a little less frivolous.

Super Tuesday!

Today is SUPER TUESDAY with primaries in nine states and caucuses in one. Included are the nation's two largest states, California and New York. Other major states include Massachusetts, Ohio, Maryland, Minnesota, and Georgia.

If John Kerry prevails in eight or more states, it appears that he will have pretty well locked up the Democratic nomination. However, the closer that he is to the nomination, the more bitter the sniping may be come between Kerry and Bush. Today's races will not only help determine the Democratic nominee, it will also go a long way towards setting the tone of the race between now and the party conventions in the summer.

What do you think about Ralph Nader entering the presidential sweepstakes? (Repeat)

We had a mix-up with out link to the poll last week regarding Ralph Nader. We have now corrected it, so you can vote for your first or second time on the issue.

Former Green Party candidate Ralph Nader has now entered the 2004 presidential race as an independent candidates. Many people feel that his presence on the ballot in 2000 cost Al Gore the election. Many also feel that he could possibly damage the chances of the Democratic candidate in 2004. What are your thoughts on the question?
