Civitas Mission Accomplished, Organization Folds; World Peace and Harmony Achieved

Arthur Lieber, director of Civitas Associates in St. Louis, announced on Monday, March 31 that the organization had fulfilled its mission of bringing about world peace and harmony and was now closing its doors. He gave a non-denial denial ("I learned it at the feet of government officials") that there was any correlation between Civitas' closure and the opening of the 2003 Major League Baseball season.

Lieber said that recent U.S. policy had clarified the proper role of the United Nations and that the international organization now knew its role in Pax Americana. He amplified by saying that there was now a natural congruence between Civitas' hope for the U.N. and its goals for students: both should speak only when asked and always agree with the mightiest person on the block (er bloc).

While Civitas has also been involved in urban studies projects, etc., Lieber said that the additional cost of the war in Iraq would certainly strengthen the U.S. economy and provide the federal government with more money to share with states, localities, non-profit organizations, and most importantly, with people who are poor. Urban and rural communities alike will become meccas of justice, fairness, freedom, and aesthetic purity.

Lieber concluded his remarks by saying, "It's been a blast to be a teacher of ignorance and apathy. These are the values that made us what we are. We hope that others are pleased with all that we have done for the St. Louis area, the United States, the planet, and every conceivable galaxy.

High School Discussion Last Saturday Solves All World Problems
We had an excellent high school discussion group last Saturday. Every student who attended had an epiphany and realized that might makes right and Pax Americana is the word that has been written on a tablet from all supreme beings. The certainty gave everyone an unusual sense of sereneness.

Everyone decided that there no longer was a reason to discuss international events since the correct way of life has been revealed. Without coercion, everyone left with with the harmonious spirit of continuing to live in a world of ignorance and apathy.

The next High School discussion will be at Crossroads School (link to directions below) on Saturday, April 19. We'll begin at 9:00 AM and go until 11:00 AM. The snacks will be terrific as always!
