  • Dear Arthur,

We have news about upcoming events with the High School Model U.N. as well as MUNUC, the Model United Nations of the University of Chicago.

In addition to reading our newsletters, you may also want to visit our web site by clicking here. We have a good deal of current information, and through the year we will be working on building up our archives from previous years.

High School Model U.N. Goes Well!

Now here's the good news. The Gateway Model United Nations session on Thursday, December 12 at Forest Park Community College went very well. All four committees had excellent discussion and dealt well with difficult issues.

The bad news is that we do not have the proper documentary material from the conference to illustrate it. The resolution results are in, but they have not been posted. The photos have been taken, but they are not yet on the web. The video still needs to be edited and converted to a streaming mode.

We hope to have most if not all this information by next week.

MUNUC Meeting & Discussion Group Goes Well
On Saturday, December 14, 2002, we held our first preparatory meeting of the year for MUNUC, the Model United Nations of the University of Chicago. Twenty-seven students were in attendance. They put in two hours of hard work learning more about Ethiopia and the Seychelles as well as the myriad of issues that they will be facing at the conference.

The next preparatory session for MUNUC will be on Saturday, January 11 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Crossroads School.
