  • Dear Arthur,

We're back from vacation and in the midst of making considerable changes to our on-line capabilities. Over the next several days, you may have difficulty accessing our web site. Later this week, we will send out a quick memo letting you know that the web site is up and running properly.

In addition to reading our newsletters, you may also want to visit our web site by clicking here. We have a good deal of current information, and during this summer we will be working on building up our archives from previous years.

Urban Studies Seminar on Rich and Poor in St. Louis

Our Urban Studies program with students from Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School continues. You can go to our link below to access two new articles:

    * Bobbi Clemons on our field trip to U.S. Bank regarding providing capital for new businesses.

    * Dan Donahue (who will be leaving shortly for his freshman year at the University of Missouri -- Rolla) with an interpretive piece on how communities face hard times when developers push for tax breaks before they will build.

To read these essays and to gather more information from the project, click on the link just below.
